French Press To Go Questions

French Press To Go
What is your favorite single-origin coffee?

I generally like lighter roasts, so I usually go for Kenya AA, Rwanda or Ethiopia. That’s not to say that I’m opposed to darker roasts, as I do enjoy Sumatra and Guatemala, and other dark roasts, and I am a fan of a number of blends, as well. I’m just curious as to what other people enjoy in a single origin coffee. Feel free to describe your preferred brewing method, as well. French Press? Chemex? Regular drip coffee?
Well, I would say ‘the best’ is highly subjective. That’s why I asked ‘what’s your favorite’ not ‘what’s the best’. ;)

I buy a variety of beans, this time around I got Ethiopian, Kenyan, and plenty of Kona. I buy green and roast my own (my preference is city/city+). I like single origins, but will blend sometimes.

My favorite brew is whatever I feel like that day. I use a Moka pot, Chemex manual drip, French press, Cafetino vac pot, Rancillio espresso machine, as well as cold brewing. I’m even thinking of getting a Vietnamese press.

I like variety, but my coffee is always black. I will make the occasional cappuccino, though.

French Press Felted Slippers Making

Today, I would like to tell you how to make a pair of cute, lovely, charming French Press Felted Slippers.

Looks great? Though UGG Nightfall Boots are great in winter, could you make it by yourself? That’s imposable! But we can make a pair of cute French Press Felted Slippers by ourselves. Here are the details:

Grippies–star shaped “Grippies” provide a non-slip surface on the bottom of the slippers.  I won these during a twitter party last year but this is the first time I’ve used them. Unlike ugg boots, you can just iron them on and they are machine washable.  Easy and clever.  If I didn’t have these, I would have used some puff paint on the bottom.

Pattern notes–the pattern was well written but the pictures showing how to seam them up weren’t that clear.  Because I had made something similar before, I had an idea of how to do it.  But, if you’re a beginning knitter, you might have a bit of a problem with the finishing instructions.

My main motivation for making these slippers was to have something cute to wear, and it is proved that I like it so much. You can have a try.
